The skies opened up as the casket was brought out of the church and loaded onto the vintage fire truck. We marched in our class A uniforms down the streets of Calais to the cemetary where his body was laid to rest. Bagpipes played Amazing Grace, tears flowed by many. "Helmet Detail, approach the casket" I got choked up when the helmets were removed and giving to his daughter and son.
